Can inmates become any dumber?  Don't answer that... I already know... yes they can.

All weekend long 2 particular inmates gave the Correctional Officers a hard time with their smart ass mouths and being defient.  The air conditioner was broken but the CO told them that they still had to wear their shirts while out in the day room.  The 2 inmates ( Read more... )

It is a beautiful 62 degrees outside today and we're going to be doing more landscaping.  We are going to attempt to finish up the project that we started a couple of weeks ago.  :)  today will be laying out the landscape timbers along side the rock sidewalk and then filling in the 12" or so gap with white rocks.  We went to town last night and ( Read more... )

Ohmygosh! I just found out that they have hooked up the internet in my office!! *happy feet dance* Heh, I thought I'd give it a try and sure enough... blamo! it's here! =) The computer guy had to fix my computer when the stupid electrician blew half the circuits and he must have hooked me up then. Wow!

Maybe this isn't a good thing... ;)

I heard on the radio this afternoon about how Amtrack offered to help with the evacuation but the mayor of N.O. said nay-nay.   They were warned 5 days BEFORE the hurricane hit to evacuate but once again, the mayor said nay-nay.   I also had heard that there were several school buses still sitting in the school bus ( Read more... )

Jim had to take an inmate over to the hospital for an MRI, so he was gone for almost 3 hours.  I stayed hooked up the entire time.   I told sheriff that we have bad check fingerprinting tomorrow morning and would need an officer to watch the jail while we're at the courthouse doing it.  First he ( Read more... )
