What a lovely week of plays. I submitted a play this year and it didn't get accepted but it was used in a "Plays in Progress" reading series. Basically the actors read through the play for an audience, and afterward there is a discussion about the play. It's less than a week until the play festival starts!!! I'm nervous and excited. We had a wonky read through on Saturday, but today was just fantastic. I have an awesome cast and they are super easy to work with. It'll be like this every time right? haha ( Read more... )

Tonight was the first time I've had the entire cast together for my play, which is called "Disconnected". And what a cast it is. I think the read through went very well considering it was the first one. And Mr. Matthew Burke. It's his first time doing anything like this and held his own like no ones business. So as Erin corrected me, I have a play in the Street Festival, not the fringe. But in November we can call it that lol And I had a full cast, lost 2 members and gained 1 back in the run of 24 hours.
