The blood is pumping and my rhythm has been on recently. January, and with it hell, is around the corner. Let's do this.

Most productive weeks of my work life recently. I miss being in love. And being happy about something other than a good side kick. Still need to focus even more to make the jump from a good year to a great one.

Focusing is getting easier again. After making a mess of things earlier this summer, I've gotten back on track.  I'm not really satisfied at the moment; progress is a bit hard to grab at.  But I can tell that things are supposed to be this way.  Right now, words and feelings are supposed to slip out from the edge of my hands.  A state of calm is on ( Read more... )

It's been just over a year since I started working.  Leaving behind college was supposedly going to be terrible, boring, mindless and exhausting. It's been exhausting. Vitriol, release, redirection.

One of my favorite problems is really associating a song with a certain time or place.  For example, a song called 'Kokoro' just came on and the only thing I could think of was this one horrendous route down 113th and Broadway which snaked up to 120th and Amsterdam and led all the way into the 150's.  The song made me think of the parks and the ( Read more... )
