It'll get better, Jay...it has to. I too follow the karma rule but it's gotten me nowhere as well. In the words of the big J.C.:

Just keep being the awesome guy you are and you'll find that great wholesome girl. Maybe she's in one of your classes. Just keep a look out and be optimistic.

you have to think about it logically: by going to parties you meet party girls. If you want to find a nice girl w/, for example, an interest in art you'd look at an art museum. Think of what you're looking for in a girl and look for her in a place that reflects that. (TIP: anything poetry = hopeless romantic)... or Dash quotes in your away message. hmmm, who would do that?
