Ok I need me some advice, the place I work at is a retirement/assited living facility and I am in a bit of a morale bind. I work the overnight shift which is pretty quite normally, however my workmate deals coke and in the month I have been working here has left once for about 3 hours to get coke to sell one of the night nurses, and tonight was ( Read more... )

leave an anonymous letter with your boss. They will have to follow up on it because of the situation but no one will know it was you. technically even if you talk to your boss directly about it, he is not allowed to disclose who he heard it from.
I don't think you would be being a rat at all, I think that's something you need to do just out of concern for the patients.
I won't say I don't do drugs, but definatly not when my job or other people's well being is at stake, they are just wrong for that, sweet or not.

thanks, that is pretty much how I feel about it, just wanted to make sure I wasnt being wierd about it, I dont fault them for the drugs, I have done most anything I could get into my body but never at a job like this. Thanks again

I'm just randomly perusing journals, but I saw your dilemma and thought I'd offer my two cents, whatever it's worth. Imagine how horrible you'd feel if an emergency with a patient came up and your coworkers were messing with their drug stuff and that patient died because of their bullshit. Compare that to how bad you'll feel if your coworkers get fired.

my name is tara i was randomly searching through livejournal and yours popped up.my suggestion to you is to maybe ask that to do it in moderation go out maybe only a night or two out of the week.explain to them how you feel and let them know your more worrie about the people there ,then you are about the fact that you have to do all the work ,if there understanding enough theyll stop ,but if they dont just leave an anonymous note on the desk therefore noone will say it was you and you in the clearyet not hurting anyones feelings to badly.
