There's a scene in the movie "The Age of Innocence" (which is terribly Victorian in its sensibilities) where Daniel Day Lewis takes off Michelle Pfeiffer's glove and kisses the inside of her wrist. It. Was. Hot. (I even wrote a poem about it during my first semester of college [yikes: 1993].)

This is when I learned that anything can be sexy.

Although I tried very concertedly not to make this as dark as the Ianto-seduces-Jack-to-divert-him-from-Lisa fics, there's no way around the fact that it's a sad situation in general. Poor, Ianto. It's so hard for him.

I'm a little more interested in GDL's toes, but I figure Jack for an ankle man. ;)

This is probably one of the best pre-Cyberwoman fics I've ever read. It just sounds right. Ianto and Jack seduce each other; neither is a victim or a victimizer. It's one of the reasons I think they are equals in their relationship.

I cannot tell you what a great compliment I find this to be. I *love* a good pre/post Cyberwoman fic, so that really means a lot to me.

I'm actually in the middle of a lengthy episode-style piece, and I never really intended to write this. But I was inspired by discussion, and I'm so pleased it turned out so well.
