And yes, I think that universe needs more snark from the good guys. It was nice to have Discord filling that role for all of two episodes, but he's back to being petrified again.

I don't normally do crossover fic, but this seemed like a reasonable and amusing way for me to get what I wanted out of the story. :D

I can! I had the same thought when you said you were writing this.

I'm not a Spike fan, but "Somebody's gotta" sure sounds like him.

I have no idea about submitting this to a pony-specific fan-site. i don't know anything about those places. Would something unorthodox and OCish be welcome there?

Believe me, there's stuff a *LOT* stranger than this at Equestria Daily! Just today I finished Chapter 2 of a story about Twilight Sparkle joining forces with the son of Napoleon Boneparte in 1820s Austria. ("The Son of the Emperor." It's actually pretty good once you get past some of the oddities of spelling and grammar -- I don't think that English is the author's first language.)

Ha! I won't go so far as to say that great minds think alike, but perhaps preoccupied ones do.

I so want that show to go on for like eight seasons so the writers have to start scraping the barrel for ideas and start coming up with desperate parody ideas like this.
