Moving on
So, I got fired. After being there so long, it almost feels like a friend dumped me, or punched me in the stomach. However, I know I'll be ok. Fired
I got fired from my job at LC yesterday. I'd been there for over 5 years, earned 4 president's pins (customer service award), had the highest secret shop scores that the store has ever seen, made sure that contact lens orders were placed properly were correct before calling customers, drove on my own time to other stores to pick up lenses for ( Read more... ) -

So, while I wait until the experiment we are doing is done spinning in the centrifuge, I have a bit of a break. Keeping a close watch on the Democratic primaries results, catching my break, trying to not let my stomach growl too loudly. So, there was some fairness in the world. Sharon, the woman who sang "At Last" on saturday did win first place. My friend Holly won 4th place, because this idiot was trying to fix the contest by bringing his 10 really loud girlfriends. disappointed
So yesterday was the semifinals of this karaoke contest... and I'm a little upset. Most of the people that made it into the top 10 deserved it, except for these two guys. One of them sang Josh Groban's "You raise me up", and in all honesty, he kinda sucked. The guy who did "Hard to Handle" was kind of okay. But neither of them sang better than I ( Read more... )
