This is creeping me out. Sometime last week (or maybe the week before), a doll appeared on the retaining wall in our courtyard. She's pretty small, can stand up, and has those strange eyes that open and close if you lay her down and then stand her up again. She's right by the entrance to the courtyard, facing the street. You have to pass her

And the guy doesn't live there? It does sound strange. I was surprised when you said that he got into a car.

The doll thing is weird. When I was a kid, I enjoyed dolls, but would sometimes get freaked out by them and destroy them. Then I would be freaked out by the one part of them I couldn't destroy, like the eyes or the voice box. My cousin had one whose eyes changed color when she blinked.

I wouldn't touch them; but I do think that the lady's craziness makes it slightly less creepy. If she seemed sane, it would be worse.

so i saw the same guy today, only he was in the back by the garages, and evidently he was part of the hippy crew that hangs with the hippy daughter of our apartment manager. one mystery solved.

i emailed my neighbor tre who does healing energy work and consults his guides and ancestors regularly. he's also able to read people and converse with their guides. he said not to touch the dolls, and that his padrino has work he wants tre to do with the dolls to undo whatever has been done with them. that definitely makes me feel better.
