I've admired your LJ for some time and was sad to see that I couldn't veiw your journal any more! I really love your work, and your website was one of the first that got me hooked on sewing costumes Though my own LJ isn't much at the time (that will hopefully change quite soon!), I would love to continue to be motivated by your projects in my own costuming misadventures! I have only recently started using lj, but I have been sewing and had interest in historical costuming for years. To prove it, I will confess to the one thing that 99.9% of costumers I know have in common: I have a sewing cat and although I am very fussy about many things that I sew, I will never move my cat from a pattern/pile of fabric/whatever I am working on, because he rules the sewing room. Further cat madness, I made him his own bed for the room ( http://members.cox.net/dancingseamstress/joebed.html ).

OMG the kitty cuteness! *dies* That's so amazing that your cat actually uses it. My own kitty, Halloween, will give anything I make her one go, and then she won't touch it again. I think she's trying to push me over the edge! ;P

I've "friended" you. . . And may I also suggest if you haven't already that you check out sewing_cats - it's a community my friend set up for those of us who are sewing and owned by cats. ;)
