Yup! I don't want to put any expectations or timelines with kiddies as it's hard to predict, but we'll be planning very soon. How about you guys?

i'm sure you can get a similar sized house in the foreclosure market for cheap!

Tell me about it. That's the market in Vancouver these days. Pricey homes! We don't have much of a foreclosure market in comparisons to the U.S.

foreclosures here don't work the same way. vancouver housing market has skyrocketed and had the best july sales yet. WTH?! aren't we in a recession?! everyone was waiting for the bubble to burst and now they're jumping in.

Good luck, I feel your pain! We were house-hunting in Vancouver for 6 months, and seriously anything decent in a good area IS over 1 million.... hence we now live in Victoria LOL! Our brand new house would be worth over 2 million in a similar area in Van...

Seriously, you get way more bang for your buck here, no commuting, and it's so clean and safe! No one has alarms or bars on their windows here :)
