Well, made it back without much issue on the flight back from Seattle today. Actually got in about 10 minuets early too.

Would love to have seen more of everything, but it's good to be back home. (I was running out of clean socks.)

Alaska through three days has been amazing. I could fly home now and have it be worth my time here.

Good morning all!

Well, for you, for me it's still 8:24pm AKDT. I have been up for nearly 21 hours and is about to collapse.

The trip went well and it was capped off with a great salmon sandwich at a famous local restaurant, Humpy's.

I leave you with my first glimpse I had of the Alaska coast earlier today.

Man, it sure seems the models are continuing to leak Earl westward as he approaches. There is still one more major run this afternoon and if that continues its westward trends, it could be game on for sure ( Read more... )

Keeping an eye on Earl for this weekend even though I'll be some 3300 miles away off the coast of Alaska at the time of it's closest approach to our area.

It looks like it's trending towards a similar track Hurricane Bob did back in 1991. It's a long week though, so stay tuned for updates and such.
