Now that I think about it, I could also use recommendations if anybody knows of a good financial advisor / asset manager. I'm more interested in smaller companies rather than an advisor that's part of some huge financial institution, but would consider anyone stellar...

[Tech] Help with OSX bug?
Double-clicking on .txt files does nothing for me. Well, the icon does it's little "zoom out of the screen towards you" animation like it's going to do something, but TextEdit doesn't actually launch.
TextEdit is the associated application for .txt files. I've set it by going into the "Get Info" panel (command-I) for a .text file, selecting " ( Read more... ) -

So one of Obama's co-chairs for his FCC transition team is a WoW player, and a reasonably serious one at that, having a level 70 character. There's a somewhat interesting analysis of his character at this LJ entry, but my favorite comment is this one:

The Seasteading Institute has a half-time, paid opening for a Development Director. This person would be in charge of growing membership and funding for the organization and would be a key role.
