Dell Adamo
I just had to post this. This is someone's comment on a Slashdot thread about Dell's new Adamo laptop (which, I must admit, I find to be rather sexy)....
An Adamo without Vista is like chocolate cake without mustard.
Don't get me wrong, I understand the arguments in favor of Windows, but this is just so well put. :) -

Thank goodness
First some background - Bletchley Park is where much of the World War II allied code breaking was based. The site has been run as a museum with private funding for years but it's been slowly falling apart. At this point the site is close to being demolished. - I got an awesome review at work and that just makes me feel great in that corporate wage slave kind of way. :)

Note to self (and others)
When flying out of Sea-Tac on a late flight leaving from the N satellite, try to get there before 9:00pm if you're planning to get food or beverage. As it turns out I got here for my 11:05 flight at about 9:10 and most everything was already closed up. Fancy lighting
I usually try not to post links to my lj (and instead post them to del.icio.us) but I couldn't pass this up. It's a very well designed and interactive lamp/pear tree. You can pick the pears and they keep glowing! -

After plopping down more money than I usually feel comfortable spending in a single moment (relax, it's only $389) I now have an oscilloscope. Given that the MSRP appears to be $549 I'm feeling pretty good about it. I'd love to have one made by Tektronix but the "cheapest" one at Fry's was $1000 and this one is a good place to start ( Read more... ) -
