At the risk of seeming like Potch's Blog O'Death....

RIP, Grandpa.

I am 34 years old. If my nephew has grandparents still living when he is 34, he will be blessed, indeed.

Thanks. We were not that close, other than in name.

it still means you will never get more answers from him.
I know the fact, of not close, but sometimes... the possibility of more answers never to pass, upsets me

Wow, he was accomplished. My grandfather's would have said "Frank Kruger. He bred, and drove a tractor."

My condolences. My last grandparent (mother's mother) passed on in 2001.

I hear ya on the lucky part.

I was fortunate enough to have known 5 of my GREAT grandparents, the last one passed when I was a teenager. I lost my first grand parent about 5-6 years ago. and my second one just this past year. I have 2 left and I am 41. good genes. good genes. oh and young parents :D

Yes, my condolences. But it seems like he did lead an accomplished life. I have only 56 more years to catch up to him.
