i once ordered chinese while staying in a small town up in nofla. the chinese place was across the street and we ordered in just because we were lazy.

the total was like $10, i only had a $20. the guy took my $20 after i gave it to him and started walking away from my hotel room. i pursued him and asked for my change, whereupon i was informed he didn't have any. i had to beg the hotel gift shop to give me the change.

there was no way i was going to tip $9 for a guy to walk a bag of chinese food literally ACROSS THE STREET!!! but this guy totally thought that's what was up. odd.

i like how pizza guys automatically assume you won't be tipping at all, and begin peeling off change. then you can say "keep the change" or whatever...
