Jun was up to Tokyo last weekend, and we kicked it big time with Shouchu in Oimachi to celebrate his new job up in Hokkaido. Apart from lying around playing Soul Calibur III and Gundam, we watched Lethal Weapon 3 & 4, Bloodrayne and Ultraviolet. Maybe they should have just invested in some poison gas? Or explosives? Those guards need to form a union, and demand better training from their employer- there's a 3-hour film I'd pay to see if ever I heard one. I didn't even like Equilibrium, by the same director. It's a shame CHUD have hyped the movie to classic status over the years too.

I thought you did like Equilibrium? Who did like it then? I thought it was gack, and I love Christian Bale.

Life insurance would maybe a better way to spend their dues, rather than on those natty uniforms.

Equilibrium has actors much better than it deserved, due to the Matrix effect. I find it OK, at a push. Jonathan Ryan, the Man McCrann, Donny and Steve all like it as far as I know. However, I thought you liked it, for its poe-faced value.

Oh yeah, they liked it because hey thought it was good; I kind of liked the fact that gun-fu was retarded and when he cried listening to classical music for the first time. What if it had been an S Club 7 or Bros CD he picked up instead?

Barry lives in London now, but you can't tell because he hasn't updated his blog since 1992.

Also the image is out of date. He has a unibrow now and a third ear in the middle of his forehead.

I'm surprised you managed to sit through the entirety of Ultraviolet, I couldn't even do that. Resident Evil 3 is even worse with the faceless guard types....
