Jun was up to Tokyo last weekend, and we kicked it big time with Shouchu in Oimachi to celebrate his new job up in Hokkaido. Apart from lying around playing Soul Calibur III and Gundam, we watched Lethal Weapon 3 & 4, Bloodrayne and Ultraviolet. Most interesting things when I climbed Mt. Fuji:- The summit is way flatter than I expected, and it has a temple, public toilets and souvenir shops. Seriously. The staff are all frostbitten to bejesus though, and they have to stay up there for 3 months at a time without showering. It's ok though, one guy told me. Apparently, in the first month I was born my fists were clenched all the time. I often get described as being intense, even now.

Some people have been asking me this morning if I am still comfortable moving to London with the recent terror attacks in the UK. I don't know how what the odds are, but surely I am as likely to have be stabbed in Limerick or killed in an earthquake in Japan, no? It's rainy season here in Japan right now - torrential floods of rain will fall from the skies for the rest of the month, with little or no warning. It started raining crazy like this last week, but rainy season doesn't officially start until next Saturday so I suppose this is just classified as regular rain that falls in the exact same way.
