Looks like something from a chatelaine set.

Yeah, that definitely looks like a button hook for gloves and maybe shoes, and the other looks like a hair pin to me, but I've no idea why the two would be connected with a chain.

Does look like a chatelaine set. Is the hairpin shaped thing tweezers? The little hook definately looks like a buttonhook for gloves.
