RIP Master Henry
Just heard from Tina on Facebook that Master Henry died yesterday as a result of a fall in his home. Despite some criticism at the time, I'm glad I had him as my Laurel, and a friend. My apprentice belt for him is still my best tablet weaving piece, and now it has a special poignancy. He was always there with a joke or story, and often didn't show ( Read more... ) -
Spending like there's no tomorrow!
Wee, this not having debt thing is fun! Especially still with 2 jobs. I'm buying hobby stuff left, right and center!
First was the wheel, then in random order was 2 lbs of fiber (turned out not as nice as I hoped), a few knitting needles, a few skeins of yarn, and a keyboard tray for my computer (least I can claim that on taxes). Orders I'm still ( Read more... ) -
New wheel!!
Weee, this is my reward for paying off my debts :D A Schacht Ladybug wheel (flyer and bobbin not shown, I took this pic mostly to show off the little ladybug that's stuck on a unique place on each wheel) I ordered it on the 26th, and it showed up yesterday!

Lots o wool!
Just got home from Fabricville... I bought 12(!) meters of a black 4-season wool, which is pretty lightweight... and 6 meters of charcoal wool suiting, what I would call medium weight ( Read more... ) -

Weaving?
As some of you know, I've had a table loom for a while now, loaned to me by Gryff... it had frustrated me because all the harnesses were locked in the 'up' position, and I had no idea how to make them go down.... so I gave up for a long time, and it became an ornament... until talking to Lois a few weeks ago, and it started to niggle at my brain ( Read more... )
