I don't post very often, mostly because I'm too busy, but some recent troubles that a very qualified friend has run into recently trying to adopt a very large dog from a shelter hit a nerve with me. I'm a vet assistant, volunteered in shelters for years, and have lived "out in the country" for over 25 years, dealing with lots of abandoned animals ( Read more... )

1) danced in a bar, as the opening act for the strippers.  (I was thinner and younger then, and living in PEI)

2)removed by myself, by hand, about 2 tons of rotted cow manure from the barn on the old farm we bought, then built box stalls in the resulting space for the horses to live in ( Read more... )
