So I flip on the radio in my car and I hear this: "-oming soon to this area, Broadway's smash hit musical Wicked!"
Then the spot ends.
I drive back home, pop on my computer, check the Wicked web site and Ticketmaster. Nothing listed any time soon. I start scanning the online schedules of local venues...and ticket sales dates have no been announced ( Read more... ) -
The Twelve Kingdoms
I think this has become my favorite fantasy anime in quite some time. Certainly it excels in world-building, characterization, plotting, and high quality art.

The Worst Pies in London
Cool as the Tim Burton/Johnny Depp version of the famous Sweeney Todd story looks...I'm hoping it will keep the black humor of the stage play. -

Ragnarok and Roll
During its second season, The Real Ghostbusters briefly experimented with more serious, sophisticated stories than one would expect from a Saturday morning kid-vid cartoon based on a deliberately cheesy movie.
"Ragnarok and Roll" is one of the successful results of that experiment, I think.
