Bibliography software...
For any fellow, poor, grad students out there:
Bibus is an open-source bibliography manager application similar to Endnote. It manages your sources and will generate a bibliography for you, very nice once you start getting more than 10 or so sources for a paper. Fancast!
Comcast has launched a new service called Fancast - it's in public beta right now. Basically, it's a streaming video service that has full-length episodes of several TV series. Worth checking out, I was able to catch up on some A-Team. ;) -

Music, music, music.
I have felt somewhat...rejuvenated....the past few days. More productive, at any rate. This has affected my musical taste in that I'm listening to more music with a driving beat. Not a bad thing. A small treasure trove...
I've stumbled across a small treasure trove of e-books. The Boys Books has several classics, including some of the Tom Swift (first series) books! They're fun to read, early 20th century sci-fi has such a great nostalgia factor.
While I was rummaging about the interwebs I also re-discovered the Baen Books Free Library which has some good Baen ( Read more... ) -
A week in the life...
I'm taking a study break, at the moment. Discovered the local Paneta Bread - kind of like SFBC for those of you near Oxford, but the food is a little better and seems a bit cheaper. I think I finally have a study hangout - good, cheap food, couches, tables, and wireless. What more does a grad student need ( Read more... )
