We're currently sorting our toy collection in preparation for donating a bunch of stuff to Big Brother Big Sister. There are very few toys we must keep for posterity, I'm on the fence about the Lincoln Logs though. I am the designated fishwife
I ended up being the adult who takes the kids fishing. They have to actually catch the fish since I don't have a fishing license. We drowned several worms and managed to catch a perch, a small mouthed bass and a sunfish with a toy fishing rod. This one:

Porcupine number one met a car and now he's done.
Porcupine number two, met a truck and now she's through.
Porcupine number three bounced off the truck and hit a tree.
Porcupine number four became a soggy pile of gore.
Porcupine number five, didn't make it out alive.

Peeewwww
Whenever I catch a whiff of slightly rotten salami I think either Elder Son left the cold cuts out, or that perhaps my hoya plant is blooming. It has lovely flowers, but they smell BAD. Luckily they only smell at night.

So I'm making pizza for dinner guests tonight. One guest requested a pizza without tomato sauce, and the other can't eat any corn products. I decided to make a nice creamy cheese sauce and it came out well until I noticed that the sour cream I used was low fat which means..... thickened with corn starch GRRRRR! I grabbed the wrong one. Nictitating membrane-less kitty
The Slinky Beast managed somehow last to tear her right inner eyelid to shreds. She came in on Sunday night with her eye a total mess. Her eye itself is fine and there wasn't a scratch anywhere else on her, but there just wasn't anything to save on her nictitating membrane. The vet removed it on Monday. The result is wonderful.
