meh? I thought I read on the BBC website that seemed to imply it was rugby. The problem was that I didn't look closely enough. :) If I'd seen the game's score I wouldn't have gotten confused, heh. I've never seen cricket .. players .. cricketeers? :) in anything but the all-white uniforms.
That's what I get for not reading the page. Pictures lie! :)
All-white is for test games when they go over several days. When it's one day matches (they only go for fifty overs, takes less than a full day to complete a match) that's when they break out the fluro outfits.
Here's the thing. People get over cricket really easily because it's on tv all bloody day, it stuffs up the normal programming of shows and generally pisses (normal) people off. So each year it's up to the players to cultivate scandalous situations to spice the game up. Normally it's accusations of sledging, game fixing, sex scandals and all night drinking binges. Once we've done all that (nearly there, only game fixing and sledging left on the roster) we'll be able to focus on playing the sport again.
Plus come on, those two were charity wins to give you guys a chance to keep your manhood after so many years of crushing defeat.

Look it's pretty obvious that the Aussies are sucking the English in with bad limited overs results so that you silly Poms think you have a chance for the real thing: The Test Cricket Arena.
Let's be serious, 1) England will not win back the Ashes this time around and 2) Tim Henman will not win Wimbledon either. :P
I'm sorry but I'm being cruel to be kind... okay I'm not, I'm just a bad Aussie sport who's still reeling from Australia losing to Bangladesh. I can handle losing to England but Bangladesh?
