So, a few things have happened in the past three months. I’ve moved away from Blacksburg to Creedmoor, NC. This had the benefit of pulling me out of the rut I’ve been stuck in since the divorce. I've spent the last few days looking for places to live in and around the Research Triangle. In some respects I am putting a carriage before the horse in that I do not yet have a job or research position here. Still I believe these can be found. I find myself having a fundamental personal conflict. As a scientist, I have always believed that knowing the truth, no matter what the information, is better than not knowing, or worse believing a false truth. So I met a hottie named Christine at the park yesterday. A red head too! We talked for a couple hours while our dogs played. She's a first year vet student. /sigh I didn't get her number (not really my style) but I'm gonna see if I can just "run into" her later this week at the park since she apparently goes there pretty often. I just got done with my second and final counseling session with Mel. We are splitting up now. We'll finalize the separation agreement later this week, and the divorce will go through before the end of summer ( Read more... ) -
The meeting approaches...grab more liquor
On Monday I'm meeting Mel for the first time in over a month. We're going to talk to a counselor. I'm dreading the meeting. My feelings about the whole thing are mixed up and beyond confusing.
