Went to the impound today. My laptop is still there. In fact, I'm using it now. Also found my digital camera, and used it to take pictures of my car. You can see them behind the cut. As well as pictures from when I went to see Helio Sequence and Rogue Wave. (Which by the way was allright. Helio Sequence fecking blew me away, Rogue Wave was allright ( Read more... )

Looks like those pics were taken at WC Don's?

Damn, your vehicle. Sorry. At least your laptop was in there. I'd shoot myself if I lost my iBook, well, maybe not myself but whoever took it.

I was talking with Jade the night before she left for Taiwan and I asked her (I don't know how we got on this subject) if her family hugged it each other. She said no and I thought that was so odd. She said that when she meets her BF at the airport that they probably won't hug. I was just taken back. I mean, her people haven't seen her for a long time and they are not going to embrace. I guess, it's not part of their culture, but I told her when I visit her that I'm going to shock her family members by hugging them! LOL

Yep yep yep. Howww did you know?

btw, I heard that Peelander-Z might be coming back to New Orleans. And secondly, did you hear about a music festival put on by Peelander-Z in New York? My friend told me about it, and it's alllll these japanese bands that come to New York for a festival.

It'll get better from here. It has to.

Aww, poor car! Again, I'm really sorry this whole thing had to go down, but at least your laptop and camera went unscathed. That's something.

The 7th photo makes me think of Interpol.

I can't believe you watch Degrassi. That's so beyond incredibly awesome.

Photo #7 DOES remind me of Interpol's first album cover, now that I think about it.

And yeah, Degrassi, it's just a really good show. With a really hot woman, even if she's late 20's, early 30's. (That's who's in the pictures. Elisa Moolecherry). I'm not even sure why I like her, she plays the perpetual bitch on the show.

I take it the loser(s) (Read: s) that stole your car and got into a wrek didn't even get so much as a scrape, huh? Go to the hospital and look for people with a double wrist trauma. From what I've heard that seems to be a common side effect of driving a car with airbags into something else. Then it's just a matter of matching finger prints...or...something.

For whatever reason... I can't see the pics, but I can imagine. Won't you have insurance money for the car, though?
And you know?... It seems like the two guys who stole it must have been thoroughly and all-encompassingly stupid, because if they'd had any intellectual capacity- they would have, in the very least, taken the things from your car when they fled the scene (not that I wish they had)... so maybe this means they'll be caught b/c they left prints b/c they were idiots?

Well, my laptop was in an unconspicuous old suitcase. They may not have known the whole time. My camera was well hidden also. I really want them to dust the car for fingerprints, but I don't have much faith in JPD. At the very least, they should dust it on account of the people they put in the hospital. I've come to terms with the fact that I don't have two-way coverage insurance, and that I'm going to get nothing from my car. I don't know, maybe I'd be able to press charges or something, but seriously, I highly highly doubt the capacity of JPD.

:( I'm sorry, darlin. ...I wish I could help? Do you want me to start a fund? I can. We'll take pics. and post signs- and you can make a pitiful face... and we'll do a paypal thing... it'll be great.

on a serious-er note... I'm glad that you have your laptop and camera though. and... good luck with earning the money. you take care.

haha, don't worry about the money. It's really sweet and all, but I think that I'll be allright. I've got a full time job this summer, and my parents have offered to take me to and from work, so by the end of the summer, I'll have about $2,500 to spend on a car. Plus my parents will probably pay a large percentage of the remainder. And believe me when I say I'm glad I got my camera and laptop back.

Again thanks not just to you, but everyone for the support. It certainly means alot.
