Theme = baby

If they need something more specific, be like "Well, human, of course."

I agree with everyone else. I think your theme in life is love, and that it would be amazing to share that with your daughter. I think that you'll be a fantastic mother, and we all have to learn as we go, some of us {ie. me} taking longer to learn than others. :p But, in the end, we all do things differently, and that is what helps to shape our children into the people they will become on their own. Uh, I'm not sure this comment makes sense. I think I'm tired. Let me just summarise by saying, I'm on your side, whatever that may be!

No, it makes perfect sense. and thank you, seriously. I sometimes just need people to give me a little swat and be like, "kaalee, will you chill out a little and listen to what you're saying?"

*love*

We all need that, probably. I know that I need to be hit in the face with a cricket bat more often than not. ♣

I think most people are talking about with a theme is decorations for the nursery, yes. Yours sounds like a warm and lovely and perfect room for a wee one ( ... )

Thank you. :) I totally needed that reminder here.

hahahahaha, yes, I can understand that!! I definitely wanted to be able to pee standing up -- that was even the subject of a dream or two when I was younger. Glad to be female, though, so I guess it all worked out in the end.

hahahahahaha, that wallpaper sounds hysterical. I wonder if it exists...

You are welcome. For me it was less about standing to pee and more about the fact that nearly everyone my age was a boy, or so it seemed. And being a science/nature geek from and early age, I was less into the dolls and more into mud pies and bugs and stuff like that ( ... )

Oh, it's not that I don't understand why someone else might want or get excited about a theme, it was more my bewilderment at the fact that it was apparently something I was missing somehow because I *wasn't*.

For me, I hadn't been able to look at baby things or anything, because it was too much of a reminder of the fact that we weren't and weren't and weren't succeeding, but I can totally see having something else to focus on, and something as sort of a tangible thing to mark the success. It's just been hard to even try to focus on things, because even the first three months of this pregnancy were medically pretty touch and go and we weren't sure that things were going to pan out, so I had to focus on other things.

I don't think they are asking about womanhood. I think they are asking about shallowness. I know the feeling you mean, though, the one you get where you admit you're not very sure about the names of the different types of make-up. Sometimes I look at my sisters when we go out together (they are 17 and 14 and leave an hour to get dressed and put make up every morning and so *know* how it all works) and feel quite childish because my efforts to dress up don't quite live up to theirs. Or like I missed something, but then I realise I don't *want* to wake up early to do my hair, I want to stay up late to read fanfic and I can't have my cake and eat it, unless I write an AU of my own life where I'm girly and good at math XD.

I'm not plannning on having any myself but I think besides keeping children fed, warm and such, your idea of parenting is perfect: let them be themselves.

If you do answer John Watson, please let us know how that goes over! XD.

Yeah, I completely understand that. I often have times where I think I should learn about hair and make up and fashion, and then I just think: "nah. Not my thing."

But thank you, so much. I needed people to help me regain perspective on this. :) And if I do answer with John Watson, I will let you know! :D :D :D
