haha I know :) But you can imagine what it would be like if I hadn't seen it with you and you ruined it for me :). I think the main reason why I didn't enjoy the movie as much as I could have isn't because of all the plot holes or his son but because I can't stand Tom Cruise right now and he ruined the special effects for me.

ohhhh come on, we should love and thank tom cruise, I mean he knows how to solve post partum depression. All you ladies have to do is exercize is take vitiamins and exercise.......research .....damn him, I would like to beat him about the head with an APA journal...bastard...i never liked that short weirdo..his mouth creeps me out...and his nose for that matter

well i had no intrest in seeing this movie and everyone has been telling me how great it is so i almost wasted the money to see it... but ill go with your review and wait till i borrow it from someone who bought it bootleg.

honestly, i did go see it, because i do enjoy the original story. and i'm glad they ended it the same way as the actual story does, because the 1953 version with the nuclear bombs, seriously...

anyway, there were a ton of potholes in it, i noticed the van thing, too, and how come that guys video camera worked in the beginning?

i hated robbie, too, but i came up with a reason he could beat them to boston, because if he looked over the hill and saw what was coming, he would have run, and they stayed in that basement for at least a whole day. so he would have had a day's lead on them. that's my theory on that.

and they never said the technology couldn't survive, just the aliens, the ships crashed cuz the aliens driving them died.

those are the only responses i could come up with for your questions. the rest of the stuff you said bothered me as well.
