For all of you that just insist every story, tv show, anime, and what have you must be dark, gritty, brooding and full of horrible people, I have one request:

I've been out of the office due to medical issues.  Mainly because I needed surgery to repair some serious intestinal problems.   I get back full time today and it's near the end of a development iteration.  And ... it turns out a specific story in the iteration had tasks for docs, test, and UX for updating a specific thing ... but no task for ( Read more... )

I just saw Day of the Doctor in the theater (yes, I didn't watch it on TV so I could see it on the big screen for the first time).  100% worth it.  They tied up a long-standing plot and theme in a creative way.  I can't say any more as it would spoiler it, but if you are a Dr. Who fan and haven't seen the movie/50th anniversary show, see it.

Namely two people I grew up watching on TV died in the past two months. Today, Elizabeth Sladen, Sarah Jane Smith from Doctor Who, died of cancer. She was only 63. Two months ago Nicolas Courtney, the Brigadier from Doctor Who, also died of cancer. He was 81 ( Read more... )

Cardio workout is truly the most evil thing ever invented. After 15 minutes I felt like I wanted to die. 20 minutes later, I still feel like I want to die.

Something that is supposed to be good for you should not make you feel like you want to die.
