It's been a pretty dull week, so there's not much to write about. I finally caught up on sleep Wednesday--constant opening shifts do not agree with me. Next week will be better for my sleep patterns, even if I have to work all day July 4th (time-and-a-half plus vacation pay!). I was on the local TV news a few years ago, shortly after voting, and now I'm in the Journal and Courier, talking about Harry Potter. In a town like this, I think that makes me a bona fide celebrity.

Grand Prix weekend has come and gone, but most of you know all about that. Lewis Hamilton, the English rookie sensation, dominated his second race, plus there was a great battle in the middle of the pack so there was actually something good to watch. As I feared it would, my old iPod completely died today. Never even heard of an iPod that refuses to try turn on even when plugged into the wall. So I ended up with a new one, a 30GB white video model. It's scary how much these things become apart of you, it's hard to be without for even a couple of days. Marin is one year old today. 365 days ago, she was assembled in Ohio and rolled onto a truck for the long and arduous journey to Lafayette.
