Eat Less Meat
This is Hank Green talking about Vegetarianism in a very logical way. What the world needs isn't 5% more vegetarians. What it needs is everyone to just eat less meat. If 50% of people ate only 20% less meat, we'd be a long way toward reducing waste and ridiculous production demands.

I read Feed by MT Anderson all in one day on Saturday, which I never do!
It's a dystopian book set in America at least 100 years in the future. Everyone has a "feed" in their brains which bombards them with advertising. It's like an internal internet connection which people have become completely dependent on.
