Unlearning the learned experience of illness and disability

I just don't know where I am these days. I'm trying so hard to unlearn the culture of disability and fibromyalgia that I've been in since 2002. My body is different. Yeah this society isn't really encouraging people to find a healthy balance in their lives or accept the huge wide diversity of physical variations, but as if I care what society thinks!!!

When I was at my sickest period, I would circle some dates on the calendar that represent important event, or event that I think is important. Then I simply fight, and grind it to that day. Whether the day is truly THAT important is another matter, what matter is I arrive on that day, without laying in bed to wait for it.
