That my dad has passed away has finally sunk into my brain. I'm going to his memorial in San Diego next weekend. It's been over a month, but I still expect him to call me on the phone at some point. My dad passed away at 4:20am Saturday morning. I couldn't get on a plane until 9:30am. I'm having a very hard time coming to grips with the fact that he's gone now. We all knew it was coming... he'd been having cancer problems for over a year and a half. Rizzo and Loiosh started playing together today. It's sooooo cute! Rizzo will lie in a prominent location, with his tail twitching. Loiosh will pounce him. Rizzo beats the tar out of Loiosh until he squeaks. Rizzo lets him go. Loiosh runs away. Rizzo follows him and lays down on the floor in a vulnerable position, and waits for Loiosh to attack him ( Read more... )

Makellan and I just got a kitten today. We got him primarily as a companion for our 7 year old cat, Rizzo. The kitten has been named Loiosh, and is a Russian Blue which we got through a purebreed rescue service called Town Cats. He is up to date on all his shots and has been microchipped. I just managed to save my computer from the unrecoverable pit of despair! ^_^ It was BSoD (Blue Screen of Death) on startup, but I managed to get it into safe mode... read lots of literature about stuff I really didn't want to know about, but in the end... Success! My computer is now starting in normal mode without blue screening! WooHoo!
