Very belatedly, Happy Gauda Prime Day! I'm late because, rather appropriately, I have been to a funeral, but either side of that flying trip to London I have carried out my usual GP activities.

Abby continues to settle in. I had a bit of a panic about her not eating enough, but that seems to be improving, and anyway I'm told that she previously ate more biscuits than wet food, so she may be confused that I keep offering wet food. There were many remarkable things about that production, but the most stunning for me was Bertie Carvel's Agave; he convinced me completely that I was seeing ( a middle-aged woman in the grip of a Bacchic frenzy )

It's National Poetry Day today, and I gather this year's theme is light. Not that you'd know it; the theme never seems to be publicised, and I always have to do a bit of digging to find it.
