Mom called to tell me they got a huge packet of stuff in the mail today from the VA. In that was the note that the adaptive vehicle grant was APPROVED!!! Monday I get to fax another paper for her to the local VA and their contact person their said if all goes well, they'll have the car either Friday or Saturday next week. Woo! Good-the parents finally heard about the VA house grant and as expected, they are approved. The dude they talked to said they will now be sending paperwork back and forth like crazy and will very soon be assigned a local person at the VA to coordinate it all with. Dad fell again last night about an hour after Cooper and I left. Mom has been having a harder time lately, as he's so weak now, that he can't help support his own weight as much. His doctor recommended he go to emergency, not because he was hurt, but that he should be evaluated to see how much deterioration he has and what the next steps are. They ( Read more... )

One of the reasons I took Cooper to the vet in February (other than the urinary issues) was that he had spots that kind of looked like shadows on one of his eyes. I didn't post about it, as the vet said it was nothing to worry about. However, I'm a crazy dog mom and decided I wasn't comfortable with that answer and wanted a second opinion.
