They made a movie? I watched the anime but didn't think it was that good. I kept watching it cuz I was bored and it had VAs I liked (like Lighto!! hahaha). But maybe I'll check out the movie. That cake is great.

I'm in Japan right now!! It's been pretty tough on my wallet, haha. Hopefully I'll still have some money for this summer when I'll live in San Francisco. Wooooo. Ganbatte ne!

I tried the first episode of that anime, but I feel like somehow it didn't...have the same feeling or liveliness to it that the manga had? So yeah, maybe the anime isn't Antique Bakery's best representation? =/ (of course this is IMHO :D)

oh i haven't seen the anime.. the movie was very well done.. if you've seen Kdrama Coffee Prince.. the waffle guy plays in AB.

I'm here studying for the semester... but right now I'm on spring break so thank god no school!!!

I guess I'll have to check out the live action Antique Bakery. I would not recommend the anime, haha.

O_O! I just finished watching Antique Bakery the Korean live action! ^^ Jin-hyuk is really beautiful isn't he? :) I enjoyed it more than the manga; though the manga was fun & well-written, I felt it was going on too long without anything happening. Perhaps I'm just impatient.

I'm glad to hear your mother's okay. Hopefully the bills won't be too killer :/

I sweetie! I'm really glad you're Mom is doing okay. Give her a hug for me!! And money is something I'd definitely like more of right now... Vacation coming up and I'll be very cheap on my shopping trips, that's for sure. Wah! Haven't seen the AB movie, but now I'm intrigued! I love that series so much... Now that it's closer to the end of the semester, I'm hoping to take a trip to NH soon. We'll see...

LINH YOU SHOULD WATCH IT :D

I just finished watching it, same as Stephanie. It's...wonderful! O_O; I really like the way it was directed and the way they showcased all of their characters. Really well-done adaptation, methinks and I was really glad to finally know WHAT the heck is going on with Ono's dreams and all that :P

And Jin-hyuk is such a sympathiable character even while he's being a grumpy old man. XDD

I've also kept my job, and I'm doing all right in this economy. The only problem I have these days is the quality of service/the product (as in boba...LOL) Lately, workers seem really slack to me in one place, or else they're really at attention (like Jin-hyuk!) but what they serve is completely unsatisfactory.

I hope it's just a trend in the boba shops? Probably I notice all the bads because I frequent those places so often X_x;

I'm sorry to hear about your mom, but I'm really glad she's all right!

And if I ever do get married, it will most probably be under those circumstances on the cake--I plan not to get married, y'see, so I'll probably be drunk and in Vegas if that did happen. :P

i have the same belief in regards to marriage.. that it's a wonderful thing but i want it as far away as possible from me.

Yes, you'd think those boba places should be more competitive to stay in business right? not just price but service.
On the other hand, the economy itself might've put that kind of thoughts into our mind.. like before we receive service we're already expecting the worst.. that's more like me and starbucks coffee..

i told stephanie as well but i only realized Goong's Ji Hoon played Jin Hyuk like halfway through the movie..XD it really was well done :)
