I took these on the sly while we were at his sister's house for Christmas.  Unfortunately, I don't have any of him awake and upright.  The beard was only half grown in at this point.  It filled in nicely by the following week. . .

The ones in my previous entry were made with very lean ground turkey. Last night, I made the more traditional ground beef version. This recipe will serve 4-6 normals, or 2-3 BFFs.

Move over xp, there's a new chef in town - or at least another.

First, my general cooking philosophy is:

• If a recipe calls for garlic, quadruple the amount (with rare exceptions)
• If you don't like a certain ingredient, omit it.  Life is too short to eat something you don't love.
• If you don't like to cook, hook up with/pay/marry someone who does

I rarely check  Facebook, but I just got a message from a Rizan Damha that reads:

"just asking r u from Malaysia, coz u look like my fren (sic)"

Don't know and have never heard of this Rizan - but I won't be friending him/her anytime soon considering that the user photo is a big, shiny swastika.

Last night I made dinner, greatly overestimating the servings needed.  I thought there'd be nine and a third guests (including two-year-old Sammy), when, in fact, only Spouse and his parents were home.  As Spouse noted in his blog, Aunt Mary decided not to come in protest (and to punish us heathens) because of what we'd done with her nativity ( Read more... )

What a way to end a tournament!  Brian Bowman was a game back and tons of spread points behind  Jeff Fiszbein before the KOH round at Pittsburgh.

Brian's first five plays were bingoes - including a trip-trip.  Final score for him - something like 620.  And oh yeah, he pulled ahead of Jeff.

Congrats, Brian!

A couple questions, if you don't mind:
