It has been a while since time was spent with my cousin and perhaps even longer since I hosted a dinner party.

I met a fascinating man yesterday after I left Ueno Park where I had been enjoying the afternoon working on my new hobby. Dame Elizabeth Taylor died this morning. I am saddened by her loss to both film and fashion. I will never grow tired of "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf" or "Cleopatra" and will think fondly of this beautiful legend every time the DVD is played.

Rest well, fair lady, for you have earned it.
