This morning I experienced a first...I was woken up at six in the morning because of a rooster. This was probably the single worse day I have ever had at work. The schedules were due in the new system by four. At five minutes to four, I received a call from the finance and was told that I would be locked out of the system at four. I signed off at two minutes to four and went to grab something to eat. I started working with the new schedule program yesterday. It was awful. Something that normally takes me fifteen minutes to type into excel, took over three hours in the new system. I just want to say that my short story professor is awesome. We had a whole bunch of smaller assignments that were due a few weeks ago. I ended up turning in a binder that was approximately eighty pages. He returned it last night and I thought that he just sort of flipped through it and made a general comment on the front. Nope. Marc just emailed me to tell me that his company is starting the payroll on the movie version of "The Time Traveler's Wife." I am so excited, I just hope that they don't screw it up. Eric Bana is playing Henry...he's hot.

I went to my mom's today and Spotless is doing much better. He's thin and he is still limping a little, but he is eating more. Plus, he perked up when I came in and sat on my lap, purring. This is a huge improvement over last week, when he was listless and could barely lift his head to eat. I am very, very relieved ( Read more... )

My mom's cat, Spotless, has basically stopped eating and drinking. He is listless and isn't steady on his feet. After a bunch of tests, our vet cannot figure out the problem. He is still at the vet's office and they are going to try a few more tests. It's upsetting ( Read more... )
