A tour of the bridges over The Thames

Today I went on another of the history walks around London. This time we started at Embankment tube station, and headed off to look at all the bridges over The Thames. The weather wasn't very good (barely 11C/51F, dull and drizzly), but it was an interesting two-hour walk and I learned some new things about bridges :)

A familiar route to me! Seeing you talk about the Shellback Clock reminded me to look up how it compares to the Liver Building clock which I knew that they deliberately built bigger than *a* London clock to be petty. Turns out that it was the Elizabeth Tower clock! Eighty Strand is bigger than either though.

No - not this time - but there was so much to talk about each bridge (I've barely touched the surface in this entry) that we didn't have enough time to walk further.
