Yesterday Mr Cee took the day off and we visited London to see the Sir John Soane's Museum in Lincoln's Inn Fields. It's been on my list of places to visit for a long time, so it was good to finally get there

It's been years since I was at Sir John Soane's Museum but it is truly the most eccentric place I've ever seen. So stuffed with things (45,000! Objects) and way more paintings than wall space. His constant remodeling has doors that go nowhere... I loved it! But it truly requires more visits and I think the guided tours would be a good thing. And a sarcophagus in the basement! :D
I don't remember how I found out about the museum - someone must have mentioned it was worth a visit to me? It is a fascinating place, and one I need to go back to just to see all the things I missed the first time! I definitely want to go and see the parts that aren't usually open - so I need to get there early next time and book the 2pm free tour.
It's nice that it's free, and they manage the numbers in the house really well. The queue was still quite manageable when we left, so not too long to wait to get in.

It's a wacky place - so much to see that we just couldn't take it all in on one visit. I'll definitely go back.

What a fascinating place! I'd never heard of that museum, but it looks well worth a visit - or several.

It’s definitely a place you need to see more than once! I must go again and catch the 2pm tour.
