New Pajama wiki
I set up a new wiki, with help from Joseph. Check it out.
I looked around at wiki engines, asked some questions at the #wiki channel on freenode irc and learned about www.wikimatrix.org, which is an amazing resource for choosing a wiki engine. Fast airplane
This morning, I was in a barn, working on a model airplane. I'd modified the engine somehow to be much more powerful, so that I could start it up at one end of the barn, and by the time it flew out the window at the opposite side, around 20 feet away, it was going about 2000mph. headed home
I'm sitting in Shannon airport waiting for my flight to Newark and thence Seattle. Yesterday morning I decided that I'm done with this trip. I'd like to return and do some things differently. Next time, I'll rent a car for all or part of the visit. Busses didn't really work for meeting people, given how cramped the seating is for me, as well as ( Read more... ) -

Dingle to Galway
I'm now on the way to Galway. Got up this morning, showered, simple breakfast, with gift of bread & tea from Karine. Bus from dingle back to tralee, and then got a bus to Limerick and thence to Galway ( Read more... ) -

Yesterday afternoon at 4pm I met up with Siobhan to get some tips on travel and then went to the Tourist Info center to ask about calling cards and car rental. I learned that if I take a bus to the Kerry airport, I can rent a car there and return it elsewhere in Ireland.

Ireland Update -- Salsa dancing & Tralee
I attended the 2006 Irish Salsa School at the National University of Ireland (NUI) at Maynooth, from Friday to Sunday. The weekend was packed with classes in four levels (beginner, improver, intermediate, and advanced). I did intermediate level classes, which were plenty challenging for me. sleep & hunger
Barak gave me a melatonin last night to help me make the time shift. I guess I stayed up past the window. I felt sleepy, but then stayed up longer and then wasn't able to fall asleep. I ended up sleeping until about 1:30pm, after having wonderful dreams. Then hanging out & using the internet before it's time to take the train to Maynooth for ( Read more... )
