I have been too out of touch with this journal stuff, but THANK YOU! The concert was the best birthday gift ever and the best show I've ever been to. SO much fun. Also, hootie hoo! Yay Carla!

You saw Of Montreal and The Fiery Furnaces in one night!? If there's a current band that I like more than Of Montreal, then it's definitely The Fiery Furnaces. I am currently wearing my face-o-envy.

Indeed I did. Probably my best birthday ever. But if you can believe it, no one (besides Andrew) wanted to go to this show with me (and I don't have a car and the buses don't run super late here). So we ended up staying at a resort at Downtown Disney right across from the House of Blues, which was really cool.

The show, of course, was amazing. Even the first band was good -- Fire Zuave, they're from FL and the lead singer is Kevin Barnes' cousin. He was really nice, and so was the half of the Fiery Furnaces that we actually met (the brother half, hehe). It was such a wonderful night, but would have been fun if my oM loving friends lived closer so we could have went in a big group. Still, I miss that night... What an experience.
