So I've been a youth minister for a few years now. It started as a paid gig when I was in college, but I stayed on after graduation as a volunteer for the sake of the kids. Been studying all week, cleaning the apartment and enjoying spending time with my dog. I made two strawberry pies today. Planned to take one to work, but I think I'll do that tomorrow night or Friday.

I start in the ICU next week on day shift for a few weeks. Looking forward to that. It's been a long time coming.

Yesterday, I brought Angel home from the SPCA.

This past Wednesday, I went to the SPCA of Texas for volunteer orientation. Before we started the orientation and the tour, we were asked for each volunteer to say their name and state why they were there. Obviously, most people were animal lovers, no surprise there. This weekend, I went to Lovington, New Mexico with Xavier for his family's annual bird hunting trip. It was a lot of fun, and I really enjoyed getting to know his Mom and sister better.
