Well, I spoke to the VP lady out in CA again today. It went well :) She told me that she just finished doing the paperwork for my hiring, and would be sending it to me to sign by Saturday! I apologize for the fact that I haven't posted at all since, well, we closed on the house. We have been spending every evening and every weekend working on it, and so I have had VERY little time for anything else (including the gym, which is seriously driving me crazy despite the fact a lot of the house work we're doing is fairly physical). Well, we officially closed on our house today :) The closing was very fast and very simple, which was awesome. It was annoying that it was downtown in Kansas City, but other than that it was great. We have the closing scheduled for our house! We are supposed to close on Thursday at 3pm. I'm looking up the phone numbers for various utility companies so I can call them tomorrow at lunch. We're rather excited! :) I'll keep you updated!

We had the house inspection on our house done yesterday, and thankfully there was nothing terribly wrong with the place :) Pretty much the only unexpected thing is that we will need to replace the toilet in the master bath, but that shouldn't cost too terribly much. Yay! We finally heard back from the sellers...well, we not just heard back from them, but they sent over a signed copy of the contract! They apparently decided to honor the original agreed upon price, which is nice. So we get to buy the house! We still don't know anything about the house situation. Argh. The seller just still hasn't responded, so we have no choice but to wait until Monday. The frustration continues...
Unfortunately I have to work a full day tomorrow - but the rest of the weekend will be filled with Ellie birthday parties, so that should be fun :)
