So we had a very busy 3 day weekend (and I was very pleased to actually have a 3 day weekend - some coworkers went in on Saturday, but I said no). Well, we heard back from the sellers today! They did a counter-counter-counter offer, and we accepted! We still have to sign the contract (all of the counter offers were verbal only), so technically it's not official yet, but we're still really excited ( Read more... )

Just wanted to update everyone - we still haven't gotten a response from the sellers of the house :( I really hope we hear something today, though - it would seem only reasonable!

Just a quick update to let everyone know that we put in an offer on that house yesterday! We actually did it on our lunch break - our Realtor called and said that she was able to get in touch with the seller's agent, and found out that it IS still available, that it doesn't have any bids at the moment (it had one previously, but it fell through ( Read more... )

I had my first day at Indymac Bank today - it was both pretty good and kinda disappointing. The good stuff: seem to be good people, very little telephone work, you can actually bring in a radio and listen to music on headphones if you want, you get an hour lunch plus two 10 minute breaks, they have free tea/cocoa/coffee/cider in the break room, ( Read more... )
