End of day 1, 1240 words written. Can't update on the site because it's too busy. Ah well.

Not a bad start, all in all, given the kind of day I've had! :D

I started at 00.01 on November 1, or in other words a little over an hour and a half ago.

I am now going to bed, having written 508 words or just under one-third of the daily "take it easy, don't leave yourself with 25k to write in a week again" total.

Only 49,492 to go!

It's hard to believe that exactly seven days ago, I was at the Meadows in Edinburgh, preparing for the Moonwalk! It seems like several weeks, not just one!

I DID IT! All 26.2 miles! It was harder than I'd expected but I'm so, so glad I managed to finish!

Hirple. It's a great word, one of the wonderful Scottish words that are potentially slipping from use today. I make a point of using them with the kids so that they grow up with the same rich oral tradition that I did.
