The original, long-gone 210-minute cut of Fritz Lang's Metropolis has been found in Argentina. Amazing.

Green days and glorious nights.
I had a hard time believing that I would ever see what happened last Tuesday. It's been a week and it still feels good. Shoot, I saw the replay of Kevin Garnett and Bill Russell hugging yesterday and broke out in a huge grin.

It's not easy being green. Until about a year ago, that is. With the Celtics and Lakers about to tussle for the NBA title, I feel like revisiting my youth. See, most of you know that I'm as insanely die-hard a Sabres fan as one can be.
But they weren't the first sports team I cared about.

I woke up that morning in a decent mood: that day was payday and a day off, so I was going to go and deposit the paycheck and... um, whatever. I was still looking at moving to Connecticut, and was planning on annoying the powers-that-be at the newspaper I'd interviewed at earlier that summer.
