Economics can be silly.
I'm not commenting on global economics... I don't have the knowledge. But I'm amused at a specific incident. The hubby and I have played MMORPGs for a while now. 4 or 5 years ago we got in to City of Heroes. New (Old) Rule: Microwave popcorn must be constantly monitored.
I can't believe this has happened again. My boss has this habit of putting a bag of microwave popcorn in the microwave (a really old microwave where the display doesn't function AT ALL) for about 5 minutes and walk away. Wacky insects... and I'm not screaming.
So we got surprised today by a big green bug on the outside of one of our 11th floor office windows. I was wishing vimnelius was handy to identify it for me or that my cameraphone could actually photograph it with any accuracy. We couldn't figure out how it got up that high. DMV Joy
So growing up in the south suburbs of Chicago, the DMV was in the Heights and I seem to remember a painfully long wait to get anything done. 45 minutes just to get to the window. 1 week and counting.... I actually have nails that come past the edge of my fingertip... and they're NOT acrylic!

Why is it that the most disorganized person in the office feels the need to organize *my* desk whenever I'm gone ( Read more... ) -

So in my job my duties often include random projects. Like wrapping presents. But it's not sufficient for me to wrap the presents in a timely manner with the end result pleasing to the eye.
